Process Industry Consulting (PIC) designs, develops and
delivers education programmes for the high hazard process
industries. The company specialises in building process safety
leadership capability and provides both group training and one to
one coaching. All the consultants have been members of top tier
COMAH site leadership teams and are well versed in all aspects of
implementing the COMAH regulations.
PIC was directly involved in the recent project to develop
national industry wide Process Safety Management training
standards. The Managing Director, Gareth James, was a member of the
Expert Panel which developed these PSM standards and he was a very
active contributor to the development process.
PIC was one of the first companies to start teaching
programmes against both the Process Safety Leadership for Senior
Executives (PSL) and Process Safety Management Foundations (PSMF)
standards. As of end April 2013 PIC has led more than 30 internal
company and open PSL and PSMF training programmes including
overseas sessions in Finland, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore and
Sweden. The feedback has been excellent and interest in training
against both national PSM standards is continuing to
grow.
PIC was commissioned by The National Skills Academy to
develop the outline training programme for the Process Safety
Management Foundations standard. This outline programme has been
made available to all Skills Academy accredited process safety
training providers so they can develop their own detailed
programmes that are fully aligned with this standard.
