Skills Passport
The Skills Passport provides process industry employers and employees with a user-friendly, online record of their accredited and non accredited training and qualifications, creating a full skills profile of the learner/s.
The Skills Passport allows employers to work towards the Cogent SSC Industry Gold Standard for key job roles in the organisation. It identifies skills gaps against the Standard and directs the user to an Academy Accredited Training Provider and potential training programme.
For both the employer and employee the Skills Passport provides clear career progression through the achievement of both Academy recognised short courses and national qualifications aligned to the Gold Standard. It provides a vital demonstration of workforce competence.
How can I get started?
Step 1: Phone us to arrange a meeting with your National Skills Academy Regional Manager to review your needs.
Step 2: Undertake system training: a simple process as the Skills Passport is easy to use and comes with a training manual.
What support is available?
You will have access to a helpdesk facility which covers all systems issues – from forgetting your password to uploading information. A training manual will also be provided.
How secure is the system?
The Skills Passport operates on an encrypted website which provides the same level of security as an online banking system.
Costs
The Skills Passport is a web-based system for which we grant you a licence; the cost of this will depend upon the number of employees involved. We will of course provide you with a complete overview of the functionality that is included within the solution you are purchasing.
