Support for Apprentices at risk of Redundancy

25 November 2009

Hartpury College’s ‘South West Enabling Environmental Technologies’ (SWEET) project is supporting apprentices at risk of redundancy. Through the project we are working with employers in the West of England in order to retain apprentices during this difficult economic climate by offering the following support package:

  • Apprentice wage subsidy of £40 a week for 50 weeks (provided the apprentice successfully completes the qualification below)
  • Individual training needs analysis and learning plan
  • Additional learning for apprentices to encourage environmentally friendly practices (resulting in Level 2 Qualification – see below)

If your business is located in the West of England (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire) and you would like more information, please contact Rob Matts, SWEET Project Manager at Hartpury College on
